Shamez Alibhai is Head of Community Housing and Managing Director. He leads a team that aims to provide viable housing investments that deliver significant social and environmental benefits to communities. Prior to joining Man Group in January 2019, Shamez spent 12 years at Cheyne Capital, where he was a partner and portfolio manager of the UK’s first institutional affordable housing strategy. He previously co-ran the firm’s real estate debt business. Shamez holds Master’s degrees from Yale University and McGill University.

Having brought Hometrack’s portfolio for non-lender customers and other products to market he has led in the development of new partnerships and markets for the business. Ross leads the new Data Services division which is focused on delivering housing market, property and mover intelligence to drive customer acquisition, retention and engagement across the property ecosystem. Outside of his role at Hometrack Ross holds a non-exec director role on the board of a group of companies in Europe, delivering valuation services, including AVM’s to Mortgage Lenders.

With 20 years working in the energy sector, Jamie Bursnell has expertise in leading teams and businesses towards better energy management. Over the past four years, he has worked at national housebuilder Bellway. After joining as as Group Technical and Innovation Manager, Jamie was recently appointed Head of Technical and Innovation. In this position, he looks after building regulation compliance and oversees the practical implications of the company’s sustainability strategy, Better with Bellway. He is at the forefront of Bellway’s Future Homes programme, which includes industry-leading research with The University of Salford and other partners at Energy House 2.0 labs.

Architect and author Suzanne Davenport is a skilled communicator working on housing and community buildings, with expertise in modern methods of construction, robust low energy design, radical retrofit, and listed building conservation. Suzanne is author and graphic designer of publications for NHBC Foundation (NF88 Modern methods of construction: building on experience, NF85 House building: a century of innovation, NF62 Homes through the decades) BSI Group, Joseph Rowntree Foundation, and Welsh Government. Notable projects include Nottingham Energiesprong outcome-led retrofit, Duke Street Church renovation, Swanage Pier regeneration and Derwenthorpe low carbon community. Suzanne’s approach has a strong collaborative emphasis, believing that successful designs depend upon the close integration of multiple disciplines and a thorough understanding of the various aspects that constitute the built environment.

Stuart Fairlie is a leading figure in the energy assessment industry, recognised for his role in developing energy assessment calculations. As Elmhurst’s Managing Director, he drives innovation in technical and legislative areas, delivering market-leading services. Stuart was instrumental in creating many of the national calculation methodologies like RdSAP and EPCs and has contributed to numerous government and industry groups for all aspects of energy efficiency and retrofit in the built environment. He was previously the chair of the Energy Assessor Scheme Operating Board and currently sits on the NHBC Foundation Expert Panel, SAP Scientific Integrity Group, Future Homes Hub Implementation Board, and is a member of the CABE Board, continuing to shape and advance the sector.

Mark is a Founder of Cast and board executive responsible for market strategy and brand. Mark has over 35 years’ experience in construction and real estate and is a recognised international commentator on a variety of industry and policy related issues. Mark authored the Farmer Review, an influential 2016 independent government review of the UK’s construction labour model entitled ‘Modernise or Die’. From 2019 until 2023 he was appointed as the government’s Champion for Modern Methods of Construction in Housebuilding. In 2023 Mark was appointed by the Department for Education to lead the Arms Length Body (ALB) review of the Construction & Engineering Construction Industry Training Boards which was published in January 2025. Mark is a non-executive board director of the Future Homes Hub and chairs the NHBC’s steering group for their multi-skills site hubs national programme. He holds honorary doctorates from the University of The Built Environment and the University of Wolverhampton and in 2025 was awarded an honorary fellowship of the CIOB.

Sarah is Chief Executive of the Property Care Association (PCA), the UK’s leading representative organisation for the protection of buildings, operating across domestic, commercial and civil sectors in the structural repair, structural waterproofing, timber preservation, damp protection, flood remediation, residential ventilation and invasive weed control industries. Sarah has spent 20 years working with membership and trade associations; including for construction trade bodies and in the international medical sector. Sarah has represented construction to the highest levels: as a CITB Council (England) and Industry Funding Committee member, as a member of the Department for Education’s On Site Construction T Level Panel, the Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) Card Management Committee and the Competence Steering Group.

Andy joined the Home Builders Federation (HBF) in May 2026 as Director of Industry Attraction and Skills. Previously Andy held the position of Head of Talent Managment at Barratt Redrow. Having worked in the home building industry for almost 20 years. Andy has been responsible for developing multiple and critical attraction and development strategies within home building, hospitality and retail sectors, accumulating a wealth of experience in key HR and development roles. Previously Andy was also a member of the Home Building Skills Partnership expert panel, Chair of the HBF Skills and Supply Chain Engagement group, and previously Chair of the HBF Career Attract Group, Andy has worked alongside HBF to drive collaboration and attraction activity across the home building sector for a number of years.

Aquality’s Managing Director, Lutz Johnen, has over 25 years’ experience in water reuse. He is well respected in the industry and currently serves as the Chairman of the UK Water Reuse Association. He is a member of the steering committee of the OFWAT funded project Enabling Water Smart Communities. He chairs the committee on water reuse at the British Standard Institute and participated in the creation of the European Standards EN 16941-1 and EN 16941-2 for rainwater harvesting and greywater recycling. He is also chairman of the West London Business Environment & Climate Change working Group.

Richard is the Programme Director at the Future Homes Hub, overseeing the Future Homes Delivery Plan that brings the new homes sector together to create net zero homes and sustainable places. Richard has built a career in innovative construction, first as a structural engineer designing complex structures in the UK, then specialising in offsite technologies before heading up the strategy function for a large steel manufacturer. More recently he founded the NHBC Accepts service for Modern Methods of Construction, before moving to the Future Homes Hub. Richard is an active member of influential industry groups supporting the Construction Industry Council, Construct Zero, Supply Chain Sustianbilty School, Institution of Structural Engineers, and the New Homes Quality Board.

Oliver was appointed Group Technical and Innovation Director for Barratt in 2014. He has over 20 years’ experience in the integration of new MMC technologies, zero carbon delivery, cultural change management, sustainability, energy, lean processes, innovation and data collection across both domestic and non-domestic sectors. Oliver has been an advisor on a number of Government programmes and projects around offsite, refurbishment and new build including Design for Manufacture and Zero Carbon Challenge. He presents at numerous conferences and Universities, including the University of Salford where he held the position of visiting professor.

Emma Ramell is the Director of External Affairs at the Home Builders Federation (HBF). She joined HBF in September 2018 and is responsible for leading the organisation’s engagement with Parliamentarians and overseeing its wider external affairs activities. Emma also drives several of the Federation’s key policy priorities, most recently focusing on the challenges developers face in the Section 106 Affordable Housing market. In addition to her policy and advocacy work, Emma leads HBF’s Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Working Group, which recently hosted its annual conference. She also supports the Federation’s ongoing Mental Health Awareness Campaign, promoting wellbeing across the industry. Emma began her career in Parliament before moving into policy and public affairs, gaining experience across a range of sectors including retail, food and drink, health, and housing.

Stephen Teagle is the Chief Executive of Partnerships and Regeneration for Vistry Group the largest builder of affordable housing in England and a leading regeneration specialist. Working with Registered Providers and Local Authorities. Stephen is a chartered surveyor with over 30 years’ experience in the regeneration and affordable housing sectors, he joined Vistry Group following a successful period as CEO of the Partnerships arm of Galliford Try where he was in the vanguard of private developers receiving direct grant under the Affordable Homes programme. Before this Stephen worked for a major Registered Provider, where he was Group Director of Investment and Managing Director of a development subsidiary. He has been involved in a range of board level regeneration roles and was appointed as a statutory appointee to a Registered Provider and held board position to facilitate a subsequent merger. A respected housing commentator, Stephen is also Chair of The Housing Forum, a cross-sector membership network of 150 organisations and businesses that collaborates to promote improved supply and better quality homes.

Ian joined Homes England in 2022, having worked for over 30 years in the banking industry. He spent much of his career at Barclays in both Retail and Commercial Banking and was most recently the Managing Director for SME/Business Banking Relationships for the UK. After leaving Barclays, Ian worked with Recognise Bank, a challenger bank, and Yorkshire Building Society. At Homes England he leads the Social Housing, Safety and Ownership Directorate, comprising Help to Buy, Building Remediation and Affordable Housing Grants. Ian completed his Master's Degree in Equity & Diversity in Society in 2024 and is also a Non-Executive Director at Newbury Building Society.
